Lupus Den Country House is a tranquil guesthouse set on a working citrus farm in the Eastern Cape. Surrounded by lush orchards and gardens, it offers comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms, warm hospitality, and a peaceful country atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or exploring nearby Addo Elephant National Park.
Four star Addo accommodation at award winning Lupus Den Country House is twenty five minutes from the main entrance to the Addo Elephant National Park.
Our guesthouse, established in 2003, is situated amongst fragrant, lush citrus groves and offers more than just a place to stay – it is a warm and welcoming home away from home.
We pride ourselves in offering our guests, with whom we enjoy sharing our home, a friendly welcome, tranquil stay and upmarket service at affordable rates. Lupus Den Country House blends old-world charm with modern comforts, creating an inviting atmosphere where guests can unwind, recharge, and experience true Eastern Cape hospitality. Nestled beneath the dappled shade of many tall, mature trees, our garden offers a peaceful retreat where nature and relaxation meet. Green lawns and shaded pathways add to the pleasure of being outdoors. The large swimming pool is perfect for cooling off on warm, sunny days or simply lounging poolside with a good book and a refreshing drink in hand.

The surrounding greenery creates a natural sanctuary filled with the calming sounds of rustling leaves and a chorus of bird calls from the many species that frequent our garden.
Whether you’re soaking up the sun, taking a quiet nap in the shade or enjoying family time, this serene space invites you to slow down and savour the moment.
Our accommodation includes five beautifully appointed, air conditioned suites. Each suite is tastefully decorated to reflect the tranquility of the surrounding countryside. Whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple or with family, there’s an accommodation to suit every need.
A hearty farmhouse breakfast, or on-the-go breakfast package for early risers, is included with every stay. Guests can also enjoy romantic candlelit dinners, by prior arrangement – all crafted with fresh local ingredients. At Lupus Den every detail is designed to make your stay memorable. Warm hospitality, a serene garden and peaceful country atmosphere are simply perfect for relaxing while listening to the sounds of nature after a day spent exploring the nearby Addo Elephant Park.
