WHAT TO EXPECT
Our homestead rooms feature soft-underfoot vinyl for added comfort, while the cottage rooms feature cool, elegant tiled floors — perfect for warmer days. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, air-conditioning (heating and cooling), tea and coffee-making facilities, and hairdryers to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay.
Rates include your choice of a hearty farmhouse breakfast served on-site, or a convenient take-away breakfast for early departures or guests on the go.
For added convenience, we offer free Wi-Fi and accept only Visa & Mastercard.
ADULT B&B RATES
All 5 luxury suites are rated at B&B R1300.00 per adult sharing per night.
Single supplement: R1755.00 per night.
CHILDREN B&B RATES
We welcome families and offer special rates for children sharing with their parents.
TURACO (#2) – Sleeps 2-4 Adults or 2 Adults + 2 Children.
KINGFISHER (#3) – 3 adults or 2 adults + 1 child.
ORIOLE (#4) – 2 adults + 1 child up to +/- 8 years, can also accommodate a baby in a camp cot.
HOOPOE (#5) – 3 adults + 2 children plus a baby in a camp cot or 2 adults + 3 children plus a baby in a camp cot.
Under 3 years: Stay free.
Ages 3–9 years: 50% of the adult B&B rates.
10 years and older: Full adult B&B rates apply.
LOUNGE & DINING
Shared Spaces & Warm Hospitality.
Guests are welcome to relax in the spacious living room furnished with inviting couches and armchairs overlooking the sparkling swimming pool and tranquil, tree-filled garden, a peaceful setting for quiet moments or socialising.
Both our comfortable guest TV lounge & bright, sunny dining room, feature cosy fireplaces that add warmth and charm during cooler months.
Evening Dining Experience
On request, we serve a delicious set 3-course candlelit dinner in the evenings – crafted with care and local flavour. To help us provide the best possible dining experience, please do let us know in advance of any food allergies or specific dietary requirements — we’re happy to accommodate where possible. The evening meal and breakfast is served either in our spacious, private dining room or on an intimate garden terrace, over-looking the citrus orchards. In the evening on the terrace, one is soothed by the tinkling sounds of a nearby water feature. Here guests can enjoy their home-cooked dinner including whenever possible fresh vegetables and fruit from our own garden and South African wines. Soft background music and, very often, a spectacular sunset complement a memorable evening. Should we have inclement weather, we’re able to create a comfortable ambience on the terrace by lowering clear blinds, which do not obscure the view over the citrus orchards. At breakfast in the mornings the water feature and bird feeders attract many birds. Our main dining room can be cooled by overhead fans in the Summer, while both dining areas are warmed by blazing wood fires on cooler evenings.

We’re excited to be able to offer a newly renovated contemporary suite – perfect for honeymooners and for those guests, who are physically challenged. The décor mimics the colours of the Red-billed Firefinch. These tiny birds can often be seen feeding at our bird feeders in small flocks. The exquisite photographs throughout the suite were taken by a talented photographer friend.
Firefinch offers high quality fittings throughout, modern amenities, a touch of countryside elegance and a tranquil retreat for future guests. 43 square metres in extent, the suite has a private garden entrance. A ramp facilitates easy wheelchair access from the garden pathway onto the non-slip tiled covered terrace. This is furnished with a comfortable couch, armchairs & table. Here guests can relax, enjoying the soothing sounds of tinkling water & birdsong – perfect for quiet mornings or peaceful evenings.
Step into the lounge through a sliding cottage pane glass door, furnished with a comfortable 2-seater couch and arm chairs with coffee table – the perfect spot to relax while reading a book or scrolling through the day’s photographs!
The charming double bedroom features an extra-length and depth king-size double bed, or twin beds if you prefer. DSTV is also offered to enhance your enjoyment of this suite.
The universally accessible en-suite bathroom includes conveniently placed grab rails, a walk or roll-in shower with bench, non-slip tiles and hand-held or overhead shower. The bathroom vanity has double sinks and beautiful back-lit mirrors. Leading off this bathroom is a private double open air shower where, on a balmy evening, you can unwind under a hot shower, while star-gazing. In Spring, enjoy the lovely fragrance of citrus blossom on the evening air.

A New Haven of Comfort covering 41 square metres, designed with the same care, charm and comfort guests have come to expect. The stunning decor reflects the colours of the Knysna Turaco – a rare visitor to our garden. The gorgeous Turaco photographs throughout this suite were taken by yet another talented photographer friend.
This luxury Turaco suite with its creative layout and high quality fittings, comprises a spacious, private double bedroom with king size, extra depth double bed, or twin beds if you prefer. Double sliding wooden doors provide privacy from the rest of this stunning contemporary suite.
Double cottage pane glass doors from the bedroom open onto a private covered terrace, comfortably furnished with couch, armchairs and table. Here guests can relax, enjoying the soothing sounds of a tinkling fountain while enjoying the beauty of the private walled garden.
The lounge, with 2-seater couch, armchair & coffee table also has a cottage pane glass door leading onto the terrace. The coffee station is supplied with a microwave for added convenience.
At the bathroom end of this suite are custom-made, three-quarter double bunk beds, offering a comfortable night’s rest for 2 additional adults or 2 children.
A barn door leads into an interestingly designed large bathroom. A spacious area with double sink vanity, beautiful mirrors and huge, freestanding bath tub leads through another barn door into the area comprising a walk-in shower and toilet. These doors in the bathroom provide additional privacy, allowing more than one guest to use the facilities simultaneously.
GARDEN COTTAGES

Set in our extensive garden and surrounded on all sides by lawn, magnificent trees, flowers and shrubs, the cottage comprises 3 private, luxury suites each with their own private garden entrance & stylishly furnished, covered terrace. Perfect for relaxing in comfort and privacy.
There are no interleading doors thus each bedroom is completely private. All 3 suites are equipped with a coffee station with kettle & bar fridge with complimentary still water. Teas, coffee, homemade biscuits and complimentary sherry are provided. A digital safe, with instructions on how to use it, is also available. Complimentary Karoo Lavender toiletries, bath & pool towels, hairdryer & towelling gowns are provided. Unfortunately due to the step-up into the showers, these suites are not suitable for a wheelchair-bound guest.

This spacious suite, covering 50 square metres, offers flexible sleeping arrangements with an extra-length and depth extra super king double bed, or twin three-quarter beds if you prefer. There is an additional three-quarter bed for a third adult or child. Guests can relax in their comfortable lounge with views into the garden. Extra seating is provided by an armchair and two comfortable poofs.
The full en suite bathroom features a large bathtub, double walk-in shower and discreet handrails for added support. The private open-air hot and cold double shower offers a refreshing outdoor experience.
The décor in this suite reflects the colours of the Brown Headed and Malachite kingfishers – often seen visitors to our garden. The covered terrace is comfortably furnished with a couch and arm chairs. In addition, there is a table with 4 chairs where guests can enjoy refreshments while listening to the evening chorus of the many birds roosting in our garden. In Spring, the scent of flowering shrubs & citrus blossom in the air is an absolute delight.

Enjoy easy access from our garden up a gently sloped garden path onto the comfortably furnished, covered terrace. This generously sized suite, 39 square meters in extent, features an extra-length and depth extra super king double bed or twin three-quarter beds, if you prefer. A juvenile bed with half cot sides — ideal for a toddler or young child, is provided. This bedroom could also accommodate a camp cot for a baby.
The en suite bathroom includes a large bathtub and a double walk-in shower. One of these showers is hand-held. A built-in bench and supportive handrails provide added comfort and accessibility.
Guests can relax in the inviting lounge area with a view into the garden. The decor in this suite depicts the Black-headed Oriole, daily visitors to our bird feeders. Seated on the terrace, in comfortable arm chairs, guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of our lovely garden – a peaceful paradise.

The full en suite bathroom includes a bathtub and double walk-in shower, complimented by an open-air hot and cold double shower — perfect for enjoying nature in private. Unwind in the cosy lounge area or step out onto the comfortably furnished covered terrace with couch and armchairs plus a table with four chairs — ideal for relaxed mornings or evenings surrounded by nature.
A large lawn, alongside this suite provides plenty of space for children to play. Please be aware that our swimming pool is unfenced.
